Dor de Munte!
Towards the Făgăraș ridge are mountain trails, some long and rough, reserved only for climbers, others gentle, suitable for all nature lovers. The south is a mountain bike paradise, a spiral of trails with wide, breathtaking views.
Eight of Romania’s highest flanks have gathered in Făgăraş to make their way together up to the clouds, at over 2500 meters. Lofty and hard to reach, Moldoveanu, the country’s highest peak and the second in the entire Carpathian chain, is the proud one that opens the platoon of peaks reaching for the sky. Negoiu and Viştea Mare follow closely behind, with a suite of snow-powdered firs, glacial lakes, trails, rock fields, peaks, abysses, or refuges. Immersed in an ocean of green, you connect with yourself and with something greater than yourself, a dream of life necessary for those accustomed to the sometimes too-fast pace of big cities. The Transylvanian Alps. A land carved in nature’s wild dream, which offers tranquillity, balance, and breathtaking panoramic views.

Before leaving home, make sure you’re properly equipped.
Proper footwear is essential — it shouldn’t slip easily and, more importantly, it should provide good ankle support.
Light clothing, ideally layered in three, with one layer being waterproof.
In your backpack, it’s a good idea to pack some light snacks and definitely plenty of water.
Also, bring something to write with.
Chances are, you’ll be struck by inspiration — because, trust me, the mountains bring both adrenaline and clarity.
They get your blood pumping and oxygenate your neural networks.
It’s always best to be prepared.
Let nature inspire you!
Follow the trail markers, savor the wild fruits you find, tune in to the whisper of the leaves, and you’ll rediscover life.
If you’re lucky enough to come across a blueberry bush, take your time and enjoy it fully.
In case you didn’t know, wild blueberries are considered a superfood.
They are, quite literally, the richest natural source of antioxidants. Simply put, they slow down the process of cellular aging.

If night falls and you’re planning to sleep under the stars, pick a spot that’s as flat, dry, and open to the sky as possible.
You’ll be amazed by the show you’ll witness as a guest of the stars.
Set up your tent and start gathering firewood early.
Depending on the season, the night can feel chilly, so make sure you have a minimum of thermal comfort.
As you place the wood on the fire, throw in some of your heavy thoughts too.
Nature is a healer.

At daybreak, seek out the first river that crosses your path.
Its crisp, icy mountain water will invigorate your whole body, awakening your senses and readying you for the adventures that lie ahead.
