It was built in 1421, in Gothic style, right above the foundation of an older 13th-century church. In the 15th century, it was fortified, surrounded by two defensive walls and four defensive towers. Thus, the church provided people with a place of refuge in case of danger and a space for storing supplies.
Traces of a sundial and two geometric shapes can be seen on the towers.
